Things have been really busy here. We have set the house up the way that we want it for the most part. Still trying to figure out how to get the tv into our room and out of the guest room.... The boys are doing well. We went to the doctor for check ups yesterday! They are growing like weeds. Kyle is excited about starting the 3rd grade in the fall. He is thinking of participating in the summer reading program out our local library. He loves to read and this way he can win prizes too! According to him it is the best of both worlds. Stevie will be starting Pre-K in the fall. I am not sure what I am going to do with myself with 2 kids in school and only 1 home. He loves to play with his toys and dig in the dirt. Typical boy. Freddy is doing really well. He is walking everywhere. He tries to run away from mommy when she is walking behind him to make sure he doesn't get into anything or try the stairs.... He is too funny. It's hard to believe that he is 13 months old.... They grow up so fast. He can say a few words... Yesterday he learned a new one, "Cup". He is fond of saying this word.
Steve is doing well at work. He loves his job, though they are adding extra responsibilities now. He will be traveling one day a week to a neighboring store to do inventory for them. Tomorrow he will be going to Salamanca, NY to do inventory, the draw back is he has to be there by 6am! So we are going to be up early tomorrow. The following week it is Jamestown, NY. He is excited about this new addition though... I think they are seeing if he can handle a promotion in the future.....
We are going to be attending the Anthony family reunion in July! I will be taking a ton of pictures, and will try to be better at posting said pictures on here. I have some new ones of the boys. Some were taken as recently as yesterday. That is about all for now..... We are going to go out and play. We have had really nasty weather lately, so on the really nice days we spend outside as much as possible.

Rainy Day
I would like to catch everyone up to speed about what is going on in our family. It has been a VERY hard week on everyone. Last Saturday, I woke up running a fever and just not feeling very well. Didn't think much of it at the time, took some tylenol and went to my in-laws for a cook out anyhow because I didn't want it to ruin my weekend with family. Sunday wasn't feeling any better, still running a fever and since Steve was home, got to lay in bed all day to try to get better by Monday.
Monday morning dawned bright and early and with the whole house sick! Kyle, Stevie, Freddy, and I were all running fevers. Steve called out of work that day so we could all go to the doctor. The boys are all on antibiotics now, except Stevie because he finished his yesterday. Freddy has an ear infection, Kyle has bronchitis, and Stevie has a cold.
I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and they put me on Prednisone. This is my usual course of treatment with an URI, so I didn't think anything of it. Steve went and got the meds filled, brought them home and I took my Prednisone. I will never again take for granted ANY medication. Apparently I am allergic to Prednisone. I woke up Tuesday morning not feeling all that great. I had started throwing up in the middle of the night, and noticed I had a rash on my hands and arms. I then started looking in the mirror and noticed that it was everywhere, but for some odd reason, I didn't think anything of it. I took another dose of the Prednisone, and around 4 in the afternoon, I was extremely cold. Checked my temp and it was 102.5. I couldn't take anything for it because I couldn't keep anything down. Steve got home around 5:30 and by then I was having trouble breathing. So he made some phone calls and found someone to sit for the boys and off we went to the ER.
After some epinephrine and fluids and various other medications. I started feeling better. Was told to keep the Benedryl going at home for the next 5 days. I am now 3 days out from the ER and I feel better. I woke up this morning feeling a little worse than before, but that is because I missed a does of Benedryl during the night. I am feeling better now and know to never take Prednisone ever again.
The boys are doing better too. All except for Stevie. He is running a fever still, but thankfully he is in the low 99s. Just keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers this weekend and next week. Steve is now feeling under the weather, and since he can't really take any time off at the moment because he took it off with me, we are going to have to pray that he kicks his illness quickly.

Foggy Morning
I thought that I would take a minute to update everyone on Stevie. He is doing really well on the medication. His rash is all gone and his energy is back to its normal high status. I am so thankful that he is doing well. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us.
Kyle is in need of your prayers now. He is doing some very typical bad boy behavior right now and could use prayers for strength and guidance. He has taken to erasing his assignments out of his agenda after the teacher has signed off on it. I brought this to her attention and now he must write them in pen. He needs to get off of the road of lies and deceit that he is on. I have tried talking to him and I have tried taking away his video games, but nothing seems to be getting through to him. Any advice in this area will be greatly appreciated.

Settling In
I just thought I would let everyone know what is going on around here. WE have moved hopefully for the last time for a while. We love our house. It is spacious, even though it looks small from the outside. We have 4 bedrooms, 1 and a half baths, a huge living room, a 2 car garage out back, and room for the kids to run in the yard. It is quiet where we live since we are far enough from the city for peace, but close enough that it only takes Steve 10 minutes to get to work now.
Since moving in, we have had little problems to deal with. On the day we moved in there was no running water. We called the landlord about this and he had a plumber out to the house within the hour. It turns out that the pipes were frozen! Fun.... Then there was the trash and things left from the previous tenants that we had to try to move out and clean up before we could move our things into it. I had to run to the store because we had literally nothing for anyone to eat. I made it back, put things away, made PB&Js for everyone and back to work we went. We had everything off of the truck by the evening of the 5th of March thanks to everyone's help. Thanks Uncle George, Mom, and Dad.
Now I am at the stage where there is a few boxes here and there, and I still need to set up the guest room, but the rest of the house is unpacked. I never realized how much junk we really had until we moved. During all of this I have been having to make appointments with the WIC office to change all of that over, get Kyle enrolled in school and for the first few days I had to take him and pick him up. Then when the busing was finally established, they drove right by the house and didn't pick him up! So I had to make more phone calls, then take Kyle to school. Thankfully they brought him home that afternoon.
Then on Saturday I spent the day scrubbing out the oven. It isn't a self cleaning one, like I am used to, so I had to use elbow grease to get the job done, but now the smoke detector doesn't go off everytime I use the oven!
Now I am dealing with a rough couple of days and nights under my belt. Sunday was a bad day because I was trying to clean up Stevie built-in the wall dresser. I had to take the old contact paper out, vacuum the drawers, and put new contact paper in. I got through the first 4 drawers of his 6 drawer dresser just fine. Then I hit drawer 5. Oh my goodness the mess that was left in that dresser. I had to get a trash bag and plastic gloves because I wasn't touching any of that with my bare hands. Got all of that cleaned up, and the old contact paper taken off, the drawer wiped down, vacuumed out, and new contact paper laid. I was about sick to my stomach of the garbage that was left behind. But thankfully, it is done and looks so pretty now. I am proud of myself.
Finally it was time to go to bed Sunday night and I couldn't turn my brain off! I read a book, worked on the baby blanket that I am crocheting for Carrie's son Caleb, and still, wasn't sleepy. It was around 1:30 in the morning Monday that I finally got to go to sleep. Then I was up at 3am with Stevie, he said he couldn't sleep anymore....I told him to climb into bed with us and go back to sleep. Then around 4am with Freddy, he was wanting mommy. So at 4 in the morning Steve and I had 2 out of 3 of out boys in bed with us. I am thinking a King sized bed is needed soon. LOL. Then both Stevie and Freddy were awake and wanting to start their day at 5:30. So I told Stevie to go potty and I would change Freddy. He went in the bathroom, and started crying. I put the baby in his playpen and went to investigate. He has tears running down his face saying his tummy hurt real bad and he couldn't poopy... I thought, "Oh, Lord, he is constipated." Nope, he said he was going to throw up. So I am frantically trying to get something for this poor child to throw up in, and then he doesn't even need thankfully. He said he was hungry and as it was so early I just gave him some pop tarts to tide him over until I cooked breakfast. That is when the fever started with Freddy. Then later in the afternoon, Stevie was running a fever.
Boy when it rains it poors. Freddy's fever is due to teething, nothing more, but Stevie's fever was going to bring on bad news. All Monday night Stevie cried in his sleep, and wouldn't stop. We woke him trying to find out what the matter was, and he would calm down for awhile and sleep peacefully, but start crying again nonetheless. Monday morning he wakes all chipper, like nothing happened thorughout the night. I noticed that he sounded funny when he talked. I asked him if his throat hurt and he said no, but the roof of his mouth did. I checked his glands and they were swollen to beat the band. I looked in his throat with a flash light and said, "You got strep throat baby." He said no he had the flute (flu). It was cute and we laughed, but I knew what was going on to be sure. So I started making phone calls. Finally by 10:30 in the morning he had an appointment with the doctor for 1pm that afternoon. I ate breakfast late and broke and egg on my kitchen floor in the process.
Stevie went to the doctor just fine, he was such a trooper. The doctor confirmed the strep, but said that he has Scarlet Fever not just strep. The poor kid has a rash over most of his body now. He prescribed Erythromycin because Stevie is allergic to Penecillin. I started calling the local pharmacies to find out how much the medicine would cost, and by the time I called the 4th pharmacy(no one else had it) they told me that it was discontinued, that it was no longer made and they couldn't get it! GREAT! So I called the doctor's office again to let them know what I had found out. They said, "Mrs. Anthony we're sorry. We will have Dr. Goro call in something else. Which pharmacy would you like it called in to?" I thought, well at least they are getting it taken care of quickly. So I said Walmart Pharmacy, and said good-bye. Around 5:30 I called Walmart to find out what had been called in and again how much it would cost. Lo and Behold! NOTHING WAS CALLED IN!!!!! This is a kid that needs to be put on antibiotics now and nothing was called in. I was livid to say the least.
My mom called just after this news as she had a doctor's appointment that afternoon and wanted to let me know how it went. She is doing great. The cornea implant is responding well to treatment so her chances of having to have it done over again are slimming. The steroids are doing there job a combatting the rejection. Anyway, she said that when she worked for a doctor's office that the doctor would authorize the medication in the chart and the nurses would call it in after working hours. She advised me to wait 30 minutes and then call again. I did as she said and 30 minutes later it was there. Stevie is on Bactrum twice a day. He is such a trooper about taking it to. He just does it, no complaints.
So that is my life right now. I have to say, it is never boring.

Moving Again!
Just to let everyone know that we are going to be moving again on March 5, 2009. We found a lovely house to rent for a year, and we will have the option of buying it come the end of our lease if we really like the house. It is in Bradford, but far enough from the city to have a nice yard and a little quiet. It is a 4 bedroom house with a bath and a half. It has a laundry room, so I can have my washer and dryer back. It has a 2 car garage, and a full basement. It is a very nice house with built in dressers upstairs in the 2 bedrooms. We have 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. The living room is huge, and there is tons of storage space. There is a closet in every bedroom, and lovely apple, pear, and peach trees in the yard. I am so excited and can't wait until moving day. I have lots to do to prepare for it, but mostly that is taken care of over the phone. All of our stuff minus 2 beds are in storage and still packed up from the move up here so all we have to do is load the truck and be on our way. Thought I would let everyone know. I will be sending out our new address as soon as we are there. I don't want to jinx anything now. It would be just my luck.....

Cpl. Jonathan Yale
My husband's cousin, so that makes him mine, was a United States Marine. He was fighting in Iraq when he was killed by a roadside bombing on April 22, 2008. He was 21 years old. On Friday, February 20, 2009, he was awarded the Navy Cross. His mother and sister were there for sure, in memory of their hero! He was a good guy, and a better Marine. He loved the corps, and he loved our country. He and another soldier died to save many. For more details you can read this article that I found that covers about everything: http://www.marines.mil/units/marforcom/iimef/2ndmardiv/Pages/FallenMarinesawardedNavyCross.aspx
Here is a local news station covering the story... http://news14.com/content/local_news/coastal/605344/lejeune-marines-honored-with-navy-cross/Default.aspx
That will give you the whole story about Jonathan and Jordan's last minutes on this earth. God Bless our military, those that have served, are serving or will serve! Sempre Fi.

Update for now....
A lot has been going on around here and I haven't had much time to think let alone write anything. I am sorry for that. We are all doing well... Steve is doing great at work, the store manager really likes him. The down fall to this is that he likes to schedule Steve to close the store a lot. Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing except it is a two hour drive between where we live and where he works, and in bad weather it is even longer. Last night, Steve stayed in Bradford because the roads were really icy and I didn't think it was safe enough to come all the way home.
We are looking for a house to rent with option to buy right now. We thought we found one and had an appointment to go and see it, but the landlord called last night to let me know that it had been rented. I told her that it was okay and I thanked her for her time. I just take that as a sign from God that the house wasn't meant to be ours.
The boys are doing really well. Kyle's report card was all A's and 1 B. He loves school, even though he says he doesn't. I met with his teacher and she showed me something interesting about my son. By the end of the school year the children are required to read aloud 90 correct words a minute. Kyle can read 167 correct words a minute right now! I am so proud of my boy!
Stevie has finally been potty trained!! I thought he would never get the hang of it, and all it took was for me to run out of pull-ups and not get anymore. He has been in regular underwear for over a month now and no accidents! I am very proud of him.
Freddy is my fussy one right now. He kept me up almost all night last night because he wasn't feeling well. He woke up around 1 in the morning, and I noticed that he felt really warm. I checked his temperature and it was in the 100's, so I knew it had to be associated with his cutting two more teeth. I came down stairs got him some tylenol, and made a bottle. Fed him and rocked him until the tylenol kicked in and then back up to bed we went. He didn't go back to sleep until 3:30 or so this morning and I had to be up by 6am to get Kyle ready for school! So I am running on caffine and the power of prayer this morning. It definitely makes things interesting when you are sleep deprived. Things are funnier when you haven't had a whole lot of sleep....
Well, that is pretty much what is going on right now. When I have my own computer up and running again, which won't be until we have our own house, I will be posting lots of new pictures as I take them. Hope everyone is well. Take care to all.
